Dr. Caligari's Town This miniature village/stage set is inspired by the famous 1919 German expressionist horror film, "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari". It is my fantasy recreation of Holstenwall, the little hill town where the story takes place, and my attempt to capture in an abstracted way the eerie feel of the sets of this iconic film. Each of the four faces of the box references one of the movie sets. This face shows the town square and entrance to Dr. Caligari's tent. The box is 14"h - 22"w - 21"d. Click on VIDEO to see how the box opens.
