M. C. Escher Series, Box # 2

This box, unlike the first in the Escher series, is not based on a specific work by Escher but is inspired by his way of treating space from multiple perspectives. The box is basically a cube that has a facade that is repeated three times, each time in a different orientation. Thus there is no one direction that is "up", so the box sits in a stand as if on its point. The outer wood is pommele sapele nd the inner is curly ash. In it's stand the box measures 14"h -14"w - 14"d. It has four compartments.
